Es wird sich dabei um die wahrscheinlich letzte größere Überarbeitung handeln, bevor die WCAG 3.0 erscheint. Die WCAG 3.0 liegt jetzt als erster Entwurf vor und wird voraussichtlich im Jahr 2025 final veröffentlicht. Diese Version wird größere Änderungen bei der Bewertung von Webseiten bringen und hoffentlich den Einstieg in die digitale Barrierefreiheit deutlich erleichtern. Die WCAG 2.2 soll vor allem Anforderungen für Menschen mit kognitiven Einschränkungen berücksichtigen, auch das ist lange überfällig.

It was reported on Twitter that YouTube now allows separate audio descriptions or multiple audio tracks within a single video. Unfortunately, there's no information about this in the YouTube Help Center, either in Germany or internationally. Perhaps the feature will be rolled out to all users eventually. Let's hope so.

Due to numerous in-house training sessions, we have reduced our open accessibility training courses for this year. However, we have plenty of interesting online events planned for November. There are numerous online events scheduled for mid-November:

From now on, we'd like to introduce an interesting tool each month that can help you easily improve your accessibility. We're starting with the free Colour Contrast Analyser (CCA), a tool we use daily. With CCA, you can analyze the contrast values of foreground and background colors for text, infographics, or interactive elements. This allows you to evaluate existing projects or test the colors of a prototype or concept before it goes into production.
