When AI describes images for blind people
With Domingos de Oliveira (netz-barrierefrei.de):
We will refrain from advertising events on digital accessibility until further notice. The reason is the underrepresentation of people with disabilities and women at such events. Although women are disproportionately involved in this field, they are rarely present as speakers. People with disabilities are not invited as experts, but only as those directly affected. Furthermore, often only one person with a disability is invited. We no longer wish to promote such events. Please contact the organizers of these events if you come across them and draw their attention to this problem.
